Connect One Health is proud to announce that it has once again partnered with Privia Health!

After a 1-year hiatus, Connect One Health is proud to announce that it has once again partnered with Privia Health, to assist Privia Health and its Members with Medicare educational services.

From 2019-2021, Connect One Health acted as a “Medicare concierge” to Privia Health, providing Medicare-related services to certain of Privia Health’s Physician Practice Groups and their patients. On the educational side, Connect One Health operated a “Medicare Education Resource Center,” whose sole function was to educate Privia Health patients on how the Medicare system works, explain the benefits available to beneficiaries within that system, and answer any other patient questions about Medicare.

For those beneficiaries who previously worked with Connect One Health, our educators and licensed agents welcome the opportunity to work with you again! For those of you who are new to Connect One Health, please continue reading below, to learn about the services available to you.

Educational Services

As an exclusive benefit for Privia Health Members and their patients, Connect One Health employs licensed agents whose sole responsibility is to provide “Educational” Services to individuals who are currently eligible to receive Medicare benefits, as well as individuals who will become eligible for such benefits within the next 3-6 months.

How are the “Educational Services” offered by Connect One Health different from the services I see advertised on TV or offered to me in the mail? Many of you are familiar with the celebrity television advertisements, imploring Medicare beneficiaries to call with questions and receive a benefits consultation “at no charge to you!” The ultimate goal of that consultation is to get the caller to enroll through that licensed agent. Although there is nothing wrong with that process, for Privia Members and patients only, Connect One maintains a dedicated team of licensed agents who only provide Educational Services to Privia Members and their patients.

Why is that important? It is important because many individuals who are new to Medicare or getting ready to become eligible for Medicare, have a lot of very basic questions about how the system works, and they just want to speak with a licensed agent to get answers — they do not want to feel any pressure to enroll. With Connect One Health’s Educational Services team, there is never any pressure for you to enroll; in fact, our agents who provide Educational Services expect that many of the individuals who call them may not even be eligible yet to enroll in Medicare, and they are prepared to spend as much time as is necessary with that individual, so that they leave the call feeling more confident in their understanding of the Medicare system or the particular issue they called about.

What do the “Educational” Services include? They range from:

  • Explaining the basics of how someone new to Medicare actually enrolls in the system, cost factors, and how Medicare may work with your existing coverage;
  • “Medicare 101” presentations for individuals who are getting ready to turn 65 and enroll in Medicare, or who are new to Medicare;
  • Recorded and live webinars that cover various topics, such as what you need to know about Medicare if you are working past the age of 65, Original Medicare v. Medicare Advantage Plans, and when and under what circumstances a Medicare Supplement Plan may be the right choice for you; and
  • Meeting with beneficiaries to take a “deeper dive” into one or more of the topics covered in the FAQ Section of Connect One Health’s website.

Who should consider taking advantage of these services? Everyone! It doesn’t matter if you can’t yet sign up for Medicare; if you can, but don’t know if you should yet; if you just enrolled; or if you’ve been enrolled for years. The Medicare system can be confusing for everyone at times, and that’s why we are here to help.

What’s the best way to set up a meeting for Educational Services? If you are interested in meeting with one of our educators, we strongly recommend that you click here to “Contact Us”, provide the basic information requested, schedule an appointment with us at a time and date that works for you, and include the name of your Physician Practice Group in the “Comments / Special Instructions” section of the form. It takes less than a minute, you do not have to disclose any confidential information, and your information goes right to our Customer Experience Team, who will then put you in touch with an agent. Call volume varies during the day, so this is the most efficient way to alert us that you would like to meet with one of our educators.

Of course, you may also call 1-877-209-9250 and one of our Educators will be happy to assist you.

Enrollment Services

Many beneficiaries are already well-versed in Medicare; many already know that they want to move from Original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage Plan; many beneficiaries already have a Medicare Advantage Plan, but want to explore new options; or many beneficiaries have Medicare Supplement Plans and are interested in whether they can lower the cost of their Medicare Supplement Plan or whether a Medicare Advantage Plan may be a better option for them. If you fall into any of these categories, you may want to “skip the line” and meet right away with one of our licensed agents who provides Enrollment Services.

How is the enrollment experience with Connect One Health different than with other agencies? If your physician / Physician Practice Group participates in the partnership between Privia Health and Connect One Health, our licensed agents already know the coverage options accepted by your physician . . . in advance of you calling and, at your request, can highlight those options. Let’s look at a quick hypothetical to see how this works to your advantage.

Assume that you are a member of Physician Practice Group A, and that the Group has advised us that it accepts coverage through Carriers A, B and C. At your direction, our licensed agents can analyze the various plan options offered by those carriers in your county and state; rank them in terms of overall benefits; and rank them in terms of which plans offer the best dental, hearing, vision, other benefits, etc. For example, if you determine that dental is the most important benefit for you, the agent can easily determine plans that will work best for your situation. If you change your mind and determine that hearing benefits are your priority? No problem! We already know those particular plans with the most generous hearing benefits. Want the best mix of all of the benefits? We’ve already identified those plans for you as well!
