How Do I Make a Decision?

Before you make a decision, review this list of questions, considerations and reminders to make sure the plan you choose is the best fit for your unique healthcare needs, budget and medical history.

Ask yourself these three questions:

  1. Do I want Original Medicare (Part A and Part B) or Medicare Advantage (Part C)? To make this decision, remember that Original Medicare lets you add Supplemental Insurance to cover out of pocket expenses and Medicare Advantage does not. Medicare Advantage however offers additional services and access to special health facilities. Pay close attention to what your current medical needs are and how they will change with whichever coverage you choose.
  2. Do I need to add a Prescription Drug Plan (Part D) to my Medicare or Medicare Advantage policy? Adding a Prescription Drug Plan to Medicare Advantage may offer greater coverage than just Part D. Consider what is excluded in Part D and in Medicare Advantage drug plans. Weigh in on the cost savings to services and see which plan works best for you.
  3. Do I need to add a Supplemental Insurance Plan? If you do need Supplemental Insurance coverage then you must choose Original Medicare and not Medicare Advantage Plan. Medicare Advantage plans cannot sell you or work with a Medicare Supplement Insurance policy.

Of course, you can always contact the agents at Connect One Health for a free consultation. We are more than happy to patiently explain your options and recommend and enroll you in a plan that meets your needs.
